Waxahachie Symphony Association proudly presents our 2012 - 2013 Season.
We endeavor to bring world-class musicians to Waxahachie and make their performances available to the public at a nominal cost. Our Concert season usually consists of 4 or 5 concerts and runs from September to May.
Since grant funding covers only a small portion of our annual costs, we rely heavily on individual contributions and subscriptions to fund concerts. Individual subscriptions and contributions represent our single largest source of operating revenue. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and your contributions may be tax-deductible. We appreciate your continued generosity as we bring high caliber classical and jazz performances to Waxahachie and surrounding communities in 2012 - 2013.

Eddie Irving and The Classic Swing Band

Eddie Irving and The Classic Swing Band is based in Dallas, TX but travels throughout North Texas and surrounding area.
From the dance rhythms of the Big Band Era to the melodic strains of those memorable love songs from the 40s and 50s, Eddie Irving and the band offer it all.
What music we have come to know as "classics" are those songs that have brought enjoyment to generations of people with their timeless melodies and lyrics. Swing, Jazz, Big Band sound, this Dallas band will really add that "special something" to your event.
Eddie Irving and the Classic Swing Band's smooth vocal sound is interwoven with classic instrumental music that creates an ambience that has been appreciated by many event planners and corporate clients throughout the North Texas area. The great dance music, along with the easy listening style, add the crowning touch to any wedding, function or event.

The internationally renowned Philadelphia String Quartet and its musicians have performed with top-tier ensembles such as the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Pennsylvania Ballet, the Philly Pops, the Transiberian Orchestra, and with artists like Joshua Bell and Josh Groban. They released their first CD, "Evolution" in 2011, followed by the release of their holiday album, "Let it Sing" in 2012, both available on iTunes.
